Nicholas Austin

Nicholas is a seasoned, global, leader with a variety of experiences in marketing communications, operations and leadership.

Ultimately, a unique blend of strategic thinker and pragmatic executioner: both of which are at the core of his role as the lead operational and strategic consultant at At The Junction.

As a brand strategist, communications expert and agency leader he has worked in a number of global communications networks on a wide variety of clients and in agency leadership roles. He is valued for his ability to not only think like a consumer/customer but to also understand the challenge within the reality of the operating environment.

Before moving to Canada he served in the British Army as an infantry officer with the Royal Green Jackets (The Rifles). This experience grounds his ability to simplify complexity, identify the objective and the move the collective and individual to a successful result. He completed tours of duty (staff and operational) in diverse theaters of operations including Lesotho, Hong Kong, London, Gibraltar, and Northern Ireland.

Susan M. Austin, ACPC (Certifiled Coach), MBA, BA

Susan Austin brings over 20 years of coaching, building & leading best in class teams in delivering bottom line results for major organizations such as American Express, SickKids Foundation and OgilvyOne. Achieving life balance has been integral to how Sue leads her life, embracing her multiple roles as: certified professional coach and marketing consultant, mom, wife, entrepreneur and volunteer.

Sue serves as a Board member for the Asthma Society of Canada and the Marketing Committee Chair, she has been an elected Queen’s University Councillor since 1999, Sue volunteers as a coach with Up With Women and is an active school volunteer.

After graduating from Queen’s University (BA, Economics) and working in the investment world for 2 years, Sue earned her MBA from The Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

After 17 years in the world of corporate marketing, she went through coaching school and became a Certified Coach (ACPC) through the Adler International Learning program in 2007.
